System Requirements:

A system running FreePOS
- An internet connection to your FreePOS machine
- Java Runtime Environment 1.5 or greater
- Any modern browser
- This is very lightweight so memory and hard disk space should be negligable.
You must have theJava Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.5 or greater before beginning. If you are not sure, you can open a command prompt and enter “java -version”(no quotes). This will either tell you the version or tell you that java is not found. Download and install if needed here.
Another method is to download POSmonitor and see if the installer runs. If it does, your JRE is up to date.
Once you have the proper JRE you can download and install POSmonitor(Try it first, if you like it, purchase it here). Download to your computer and double-click on the setup.exe file. The default settings for most of the installation should be OK. POSmonitor is installed as a Windows Service. It should start during the installation provided that the FreePOS Directory is properly set. Shortcuts to start and stop the service are created in the “Start Menu” during installation. A shortcut for the Configuration Application will also be added to the “Start” menu.
At the end of the installation, the Configuration Application will run.
